PLEASE CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING TODAY
Our professional staff supports our enthusiastic volunteers who are an essential and integral part of the Child Abuse Prevention Center. Volunteers are needed as "Parent Aides," and to support the various administrative and technical needs of our community-based organization. The volunteers, under the able and grateful direction of our professional staff, provide a great base of the support to families in our communities. A volunteer typically spends one or two hours a week with their assigned parents and children.
Parent Aide Volunteers receive a comprehensive 12-hour training course to provide them with the knowledge they need to be successful in helping families thrive and flourish. Experienced members of our professional staff supervise and support the volunteers. The volunteers become nurturing, supportive role models to parents who need help dealing with their parenting concerns to fortify their ability to raise healthy and productive children.
Experience shows that volunteers find our program to be extremely rewarding and gratifying and “get even more than they could ever give." The Child Abuse Prevention Center greatly values our volunteers and hopes you might consider volunteering to serve these children and their families in our community who need us most.
No one kind of person or a specific background is necessary in a successful Child Abuse Prevention volunteer. Our volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. You need nothing more than a compassionate and willing heart to make a difference . . .
