ABOUT US

The CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION CENTER was founded in 1988
by the South Mississippi Exchange Clubs of the National Exchange Club Foundation. The first of these clubs, founded by Dr. Henry Kempe, was located in Jackson, Mississippi. Currently, over 100 Exchange Club CAP Centers operate around the country, including Puerto Rico, and serve as a community-based effort founded on in-home visitation to reduce child maltreatment and fortify the families they serve. Many of the programs utilize community volunteers who are trained and supported by professional staff. Together, we stand to make a BIG DIFFERENCE in the lives of these children and the families in our communities. Learn more, call today to see how you can help: (228) 868-8686

Prevent child abuse by improving the quality of life for all children and their families in the South Mississippi area through prevention, education, and intervention.

The Center currently serves the following counties: Forrest, George, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Jones, Lamar, Marion, Perry, and Stone.
